DESIGN TALK: BMW - Be Individual, The combination of aspirations and perfection
May 07 2014 : ( 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm )
Join us for behind-the-scenes stories from the designer responsible for the integration of the Bang & Olufsen sound system into BMW car interiors
THE ART OF FITTING IN AN ORCHESTRA INTO YOUR LUXURY CAR
We invite you to an exclusive evening with BMW and Bang & Olufsen. Come and experience stunning details of the Bang & Olufsen in-car sound systems and aesthetically pleasing BMW automotive interiors.
When matching brands come together, spectacular things can happen. Bang & Olufsen and BMW combine an unrelenting quest for technical excellence and an uncompromising commitment to quality and style, with the Bang & Olufsen High-End sound system as the perfect embodiment of this philosophy.
The artistically elegant styling matches the high level of sound quality: speaker trims appear to hover thanks to the floating design. The centre speaker opens whenever music starts up. Fully aluminium speaker trims with their precise perforation pattern are characteristic of the Bang & Olufsen design. Every viewing angle reveals perfect lines in harmony with the design of the BMW models.
We have invited Industrial Designer at Bang & Olufsen Automotive Mikkel Venge to come and talk about the challenges of integrating the world’s best sound system into the confines of a car interior.
Mikkel is responsible for the design coordination between Bang & Olufsen and BMW. He will be revealing the process of how the initial concept is developed and how this is then translated into real world prototypes and finally into production. There will be behind-the-scenes stories of the daily work that goes on in the corporation between BMW and Bang & Olufsen.
Ikonhouse is all about integrated interiors with a high degree of individual choices, and for us the BMW individual program is a perfect embodiment of this approach.
Perfect results are achieved by attention to details
The importance of quality materials and uncompromised design is as essential in interiors in your home as it is in your car.
This Design Talk is a unique opportunity to hear the stories you can’t hear or read anywhere else.
